Using our microelectronics static free work station and David Dickinson's extensive Saab knowledge we offer the best combination of service and value.

What makes us different?
We are quite familiar with both Saabs and delicate computer equipment. Many people and businesses already rely on our skills to get the job done quickly and with utmost quality and workmanship. We have been servicing SAAB SID units for about 6 years and Apple computers for about 11 years.

Do you have any special procedures for working with sensitive electronic devices such as my Saab SID?
We have a full anti-static work station and personal grounding system that ensures your SID is repaired safely. Once your SID is repaired, we immediately heat-seal it in an antistatic bag along with a desiccant pack to control humidity and moisture, this ensures that your SID returns to you safely and without damage. Because your SID is heat-sealed in a anti-static bag (ESD,) even if the shipment were to be complexity soaked in water your SID would be perfectly safe!

How do you pack my SID for return shipment?
We are well known for our over-the-top secure packing. We only use custom boxes that are of the correct size to protect your SID unit during shipment. Your SID will be sent via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground if you are a repair shop or dealership located in the North Eastern region of the US
.

Who needs this repair?
If you own a SAAB 9-3 or 9-5 1999-2003 than you very likely have missing lines on your Saab Information Display "SID" where you see the radio station, time, temperature, date, ETC. This is due to a design flaw in the unit that allows the ribbon cable to become partially separated from the main unit. Each line on the display has a corresponding wire in this very thin and flat cable, so when sections become loose some of the the lines on your screen disappears. The condition gets worse over time.

What if I have light bulbs out as well as "bad pixels"?
Introduced in the Fall of 2009, our service now includes free backlight bulb replacement. This new service was quite a feat for us to accomplish with bulbs retailing for ~$10 each from SAAB. With 6 bulbs in each SID unit totaling $60, we were unable to offer this service until now. To be eligible for this service, you must send your unit with all bulbs still in-place and the bulbs must be original to the unit. We will not replace any bulbs that have been tampered with.

How much does your repair service cost?
Service starts at $75 for a standard repair. If a new LCD display and cable are either required or requested the basic "new LCD Display/Cable" service starts at $145. Shipping for non-deluxe services is $12.

What if you can't fix it or some lines are still missing?
We have reinvented our service several times, and with our latest service method we have achieved amazing results! But if for some reason, we are unable to revive your display 100% we will offer to install a BRAND NEW LCD Display and Cable set for an additional $70-$75 (depends on the base service you chose upon ordering.) If these additional parts are required to service your unit, we will contact you to get authorization to provide that service.

Is my online order secure?
Absolutely, we use only the best shopping cart software and merchant processors to processes order. In-fact, we never even see your financial data, which is processed instantly by the merchant processor. No financial data is stored for any customer. We are in full PCS compliance.

What is your warranty?
As of October 3 2011, we include a lifetime warranty. The warranty is fully transferable (same as before.) The customer is required to cover all shipping costs to get the SID unit to us and back again. We charge a $12 return shipping fee in the US. Please contact us for instructions on obtaining warranty service. Shipping vouchers will be provided to individuals who's service was provided within 90-days of the claim.

If your service occured prior to October 3 2011, see your invoice for specific warranty coverage. We will extend 30-90day warranties to lifetime coverage on a case by case basis, please contact us to discuss your particular options.

Please note: The condition of your SID unit may require the installation of a new LCD display and cable for a successful repair. This extra cost is not covered under any warranty unless your original (or upgraded) order included a new LCD display/cable set (no free upgrades.) Warranty does not cover light bulbs or accidental damage caused by the customer.

How can I pay for my repair?
Walk-in customers have the option to pay via: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Cash, Check or PayPal. Mail-In customers have the option to pay via: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal, USPS Postal Money Order, Business Check.

 Is there anything else I should know?
We recommend you NOT drive your Saab with the SID removed for a few reasons including:
A: Your car will not be able to alert you by Sound or text if something serious happens and you are not aware of the issue.
B: You will NOT HAVE A HORN in case of a driving emergency.

- Due to these issues, we can send you a temporary SID unit to install while your's is being repaired! We include loaner units with every Deluxe service option (Choose DELUXE service during checkout)
